Final Reflections

Honestly, at first I didn’t think I would enjoy this activity as much as I did. This activity is a lot of fun and it kept motivating us to get better at writing and be more confident about it. I learned a lot of things that I had no idea about before this, which goes to show that you never stop learning. I consider that more teachers should do things like this because you learn a lot from it.
I liked that the topics we had to write about were amusing and easy to write and the fact that this activity was online, made everything more tidy and accessible.
Overall, I enjoyed the whole thing!

Different parts of a surfboard

A surfboard is a very powerful object, and on one you can do many different, amazing things; but what are the different parts of a surfboard? what are they for? here, you are about to find out.

         The first thing you will notice about a surfer, is that he has something tied to one of his legs. Well, that “thing” is called a leash, and its function is to stop the board from getting away from the surfer in the ocean. A leash can be made of many different colours and it is long. It goes on the leg that the surfer puts at the back of the board. If the surfer isn’t wearing a leash, and he falls from his board, the waves and the currents will push the board away to the shore. This will force the surfer to waste precious energy and time on getting the board back and getting back on it.

         The next thing that will catch your attention about a surfboard is that it has three fins at the back of it, on the tail of the board. These fins are crucial because they give the board stability and direction which are essential for doing tricks and turning on the board while surfing. Normally, there are three fins on a board, but it isn’t uncommon to see two or maybe one of them on the board. Some special surfboards can have up to five of them! It doesn’t matter how many fins the board has, however, it is imperative that it have one because, otherwise, it won’t be able to slide on the wave smoothly since it will be hard to keep balance on it.

    Next, a surfboard has wax. Wax is vital because, without it, the board would be unbelievably slippery, making it impossible for the surfer to grab on to it properly, and if he gets up on the board without wax, his feet would slip, and consequently, he would fall due to a loss of balance. Wax is very sticky (and it smells amazing!) and it also comes in different colours. The way to put it on a surfboard is in circular motions. Typically, a surfer will put wax on where his hands go, at either side of the board, at the center of it, and where his feet go.                                                   

         Finally, we have the deck (also called traction pad) which is a pad made of rubber that goes at the bottom of the board. This is optional, so it depends on what the surfer prefers. This part of the board is to keep the foot that goes at the back of the board, firmly on it. If this foot slips, the surfer will fall. It has the same function as wax, but it doesn’t go all over the board, unlike wax.

Octopuses can be crazy in love too

It is a lovely, gorgeous, sunny day in Greece, there is a pink octopus and an orange one, and they are deeply in love. They are hugging and holding on to each other in a fish tank that is in a fish shop. Both of them seem so at peace and comfortable when all of a sudden someone’s hand reaches into the tank very aggressively and takes both of them out and puts the orange one back in the tank in a flash. This one, filled with horror, presses himself onto the glass of the tank, so he can see what will happen to his significant other. Meanwhile, the same person weighs her, and later puts her in a chilly bin which is then taken outside of the shop by another man.

         The octopus that is left in the tank keeps watching everything very attentively. He watches as the man takes the chilly bin. He then realizes that on the van there is a very disturbing image for him. There is a black octopus and below it there are two butcher knives. This is very unsettling for him because he imagines a huge, evil man, who chops up the pink octopus into little bits and pieces. He loses his mind while the man who is basically kidnapping his partner, gets into the van, placing the chilly bin on the seat next to him. All of this is too much for the octopus that is left behind, and he somehow manages to jump out of the tank and frantically drags himself across the floor, leaving a wet trail behind him.

         At the same time that this is happening, the man turns the van’s engine on and starts driving away. The octopus jumps and barely manages to grab on to the back of the van. The vehicle whizzes through white and blue streets of Greece as the octopus moves across it, pops up at the window opposite of the driver and scares him. The animal opens the chilly bin with his tentacles, but the man brutally punches him. This doesn’t make the octopus fall, it only makes it hold on to the van with more strength, to the surprise of the man. The man then keeps hitting the animal, with no luck because this makes him lose control of the van and crash into the tables, chairs and sunshades that were on the street. Then, the octopus flies on the windshield of the van, completely out of the blue. This makes the driver turn the windshield wipers on, causing the orange octopus to be dragged back and forth on the windshield. As this is going on, the pink octopus takes advantage of the fact that the man is busy, and puts the emergency break on. This is when the van starts to spiral out of control, throwing both octopuses out the window, leaving them on the street and on the low wall.

         They start to run away as fast as they can, however, the man sees them, and begins to drive in their direction. Meanwhile, the now reunited couple, falls into a swimming pool. They swim, jump, and land in another pool. They do this several times, bounce on a sunshade and on a beach ball while the man drives next to the houses very angrily. As the couple is flying through the air, the man catches them both, but as a consequence, loses control of the van once again. This makes him angrier and he starts banging the octopuses against the roof of the van until one of them squirts a black substance into his eyes, then, the man lets go of them and they are left tangling on a street cable. Next, the man tries to keep driving but instead, the van falls off a small cliff and into the sea, with the man included.

         The relieved octopuses look at each other, their eyes full of relief and love, when suddenly, a seagull comes along and flies away with the orange octopus. After this, an incredibly determined pink octopus flings herself into the air so as to be with her partner again, and not let anything make them be apart again.

Jame's Revenge.

 

¨I told you I don’t like rabbits! What makes you think I want 2 of them sitting around in my garden? Are you crazy? You have to get rid of them right away! I mean it¨ This is what Liloy told her husband, James. She was infuriated, how could he do something like that without telling her first? ¨Honey, calm down, please. I think you’re overreacting a bit. It’s just two rabbits… you know I’ve always liked animals and I found these when I was on my way home  and I thought I couldn’t leave them there because anything could happen to them. I promise I’ll find them another home, but for the time being, please let them stay here.¨ James looked so convincing, Liloy had to say yes. However, the day that the rabbits went to a new home never came because James didn’t keep his promise. Six months later, the rabbits had names. They were Batman and Robin (because James was a fan of Batman.) Liloy got angrier and angrier because her husband wasn’t paying the attention to her that she needed. His life revolved around the filthy rabbits. She had to have revenge one way or another. She thought and thought about her vengeance although no idea was good enough. She didn’t want to kill the rabbits, she wasn’t that cruel. This is how she spent her days, thinking about the perfect way to get even until something popped up in her mind. It was perfect! yes! she was going to get pleasure, attention, she was going to feel powerful and beautiful by cheating on James. Liloy decided to put her plan into action straight away. She went up the stairs, put the most beautiful and sexy bikini and a gorgeous dress on that flattered her body, took her wedding ring off and headed to the beach. While she was queuing to buy ice cream, a handsome man walked up to her. His name was Johnny Bravo and they started talking and to get to know each other. Then they went for a swim in the ocean and had a great time. At the end of the day Johnny asked her for her phone number and he begged for a second date. Liloy hesitated a little bit, but she gives in and accepts. Two days later, they go on their second date. Johnny was charming, funny, a gentleman, and smelled really good. With him, she felt comfortable being herself and she was happy without pretending she was another person.She hadn’t felt like this with James in a long time. This meant that Johnny was perfect for her vengeance. That night they gave in to pleasure and slept together. When she woke up the next day, she did not feel guilty at all. She felt alive. No other man had given her what Johnny gave her, not even her husband. This went on for 2 years. During these 2 years James felt like the relationship wasn’t the same. He realized that Liloy didn’t care about the rabbits anymore, she wasn’t paying attention to him either and she was going out a lot. So one day he decided to follow her in his car without letting her know and he was surprised to find out that his wife was cheating on him. He didn’t know Liloy’s reasons for doing this, but he was sure of something. It had to do with the rabbits. He couldn’t deny he was sad and full of wrath at the same time, it was something he couldn’t control. He proceeded to do many stupid things. The first one of them was to go into Johnny’s house. He found them in the middle of being intimate and gave them a big surprise. For a few seconds no one said anything and didn’t move either. Then, James grabbed Johnny’s gun that was on the night table and shot his  wife without mercy. Johnny was very shocked but he called the police. Neither one of them said anything. James didn’t even try to escape, he just waited for the police to arrive and take him away to prison. When the police arrived at Johnny’s house, they cuffed him and said: ¨Buddy, you’re going to prison. Are you ready?¨ James just nodded and accepted the consequences of his stupid reaction. Soon after the police took James away, the firefighters and the ambulance arrived to take away Liloy’s body. Johnny was completely shocked and couldn’t even talk aside from calling the authorities.

James’s conviction was of 15 years and the things that he missed the most were his rabbits. As nobody was at James and Liloy’s house, nobody could feed the rabbits, so pretty soon  they starved to death. THE END.

The House Is On Fire.

  In this picture there is a beautiful house that looks like it is in an isolated place.  At the entrance of it we can see a stair leading to the porsche. It has colorless walls made of wood and these have common windows. The window frames have nothing especial but the dormer room’s window frame looks romantic or maybe baroque.The roof of this building is gable and black and it is also made of wood. It looks like this house has many rooms, but unfortunately there are huge destructive flickering flames coming out of it producing an enormous cloud of grey smoke which has a thick acrid smell and it ruins the beautiful light blue sky. It seems like this fire will “devour” the whole house and  it will turn it into ashes pretty soon.

Slippery Slip

          We can observe a funny summer scene in which there is a white dog playing with water by a pool. In this gif there is a medium sized dog that has white coloured fur on his neck, all the way down to his small, black nose, and his legs are white too.The rest of it’s body has  really light brown coloured fur. It has small ears and it is wagging it’s slightly curled up tail. This dog is standing in a puddle at the edge of a swimming pool where there is a special device next to it that is small, and black that shoots water into the pool. The dog walks up to this device because it wants to drink some of the water that is shooting out of it, and it gets some water in it’s mouth, but it’s paw slips on the edge of the pool because it is wet. Next, his front legs go into the water of the pool, then, as it is falling, it lifts it’s head up so as to not get it wet, however, this is inevitable. Then, it arches its back and falls completely into the water of the swimming pool. Concrete surrounds the pool, it’s edges are light blue, long, and narrow. It is a very big pool that can have a lot of people swimming in it at once, and it also looks deep.
